We recommend maintaining your solid wood furniture by wiping periodically with a soft damp (not wet) cloth followed by drying with a soft dry cloth. The use of most household polishes and cleaners over time will leave a build-up and/or mask the natural patina of the wood. If product care is necessary, we recommend and offer Fiddes Supreme Wax polish. All other products should be used in moderation.

Avoid direct sunlight that might cause discoloration of the finish.

Avoid direct heat associated with radiators, warm air vents, and fireplaces. Over time, hardwoods may develop a tendency to shrink and expand due to temperature and/or humidity changes. Excessive exposure to extremely dry and humid environments may cause warping and/or loosening of the joints.

Always use placemats and/or "hot pads" on your table’s top. Heat from plates and dishes will allow moisture to set under the top coat, tarnishing the finish.
