Pricing

Ashlen offers Wholesale Pricing to retail establishments, stocking dealers, and B & B getaways that resale. Wholesale Prices require a Sales Tax Exemption Number and fulfillment of a one time minimum Opening Order of 8 pieces in any mix and/or match of style and/or finish. For below minimum Opening Orders, a one time up charge of 20 % will apply. There is no minimum on reorders. Trade Pricing is available to Interior Decorators, Architects, Galleries, Museums, Historical Homes, Restaurants, Offices and B & B getaways who furnish or complete jobs but do not inventory for resale. Trade pricing requires a Federal Business Identification Number. Ashlen does no require a minimum Opening Order for Trade Pricing. Quantity discounts are available for larger jobs. Ashlen offers Distributor Pricing to companies who have a Sales Tax Exemption Number with a minimum order of 45 items in any mix and/or match. All orders not meeting the minimum required will be subject to standard wholesale prices.Ashlen supports each and every store and individual who promotes and sells their line. As a thank you for continued business and loyalty, Ashlen Windsor Chair Company promises to never compete or knowingly take a sell from an active existing dealer. All Retail Inquiries should visit Find an Authorized Dealer for information and pricing or should contact Ashlen direct for dealers not listed. Ashlen will only sell direct to individuals who live more than 50 miles from an existing Ashlen Dealer. Regardless of the origin of order, Ashlen is able to drop ship anywhere in the country or Canada.


Ordering

To place a wholesale, trade, or distributor order, contact Ashlen by phone, email or fax with your tax identification information. For opening orders, please fill out the New Dealer Inquiry Form which is available under the Become an Authorized Dealer heading. Pricing will be sent upon receipt of the completed forms.

To place a retail order, contact Ashlen by phone, fax, or email with your city, state, and zip. If an Ashlen dealer is within 50 miles, you will be directed to that store or to the Find an Authorized Dealer page. Regardless of the source of your purchase, Ashlen will build for you and will ship to the originating store or to your home. Ashlen Windsor Chair Company appreciates your understanding of their policy to protect and promote their existing Ashlen Dealers and looks forward to building for you and your family soon.


Payment

Ashlen does not warehouse any of their products. Each and every piece is built in-house per customer request. Because they build for you, a 25% deposit is requested at time of ordering and balance is due prior to shipping. For your convenience, Ashlen accepts Visa/MasterCard payments as well as checks and money orders.


Delivery

Ashlen ships freight collect by common carrier. As a rule, Ashlen tries to keep freight charges to less than 10% of total in-house invoice. Residential drop shipping is available for a small additional fee. Freight quotes can be provided upon request. Please specify chair style, quantity desired, destination zip code, residential delivery or other special request.


Residential Delivery

Standard residential delivery is available for an additional fee of $30.00 - $55.00 depending on the common carrier line.

"Standard Delivery" is delivery to the front threshold of the home. The driver is not responsible for bringing the freight inside. They will not assist with the unpacking or the cleanup.

The carrier line will call to schedule a delivery time. Normal hours for delivery are Monday - Friday during normal business hours.

A signature will be required for delivery. Please inspect the product in its entirety before signing. If any damage is noticed, notate the bill of lading and refuse the shipment. Notify Ashlen as soon as possible so the appropriate measures can be taken to replace the damaged order in a timely fashion.

Feel free to inquire at origin of order if further assistance is needed. Additional services are available through the carrier lines for small fees.


Shipping Damage

Ashlen experiences minimal shipping damage. Each chair is wrapped and packaged floating inside a large carton. If shipping damage occurs, please follow these steps.

Unfortunately, a shipping damage not reported to the driver at the time of delivery is subject to only 1/3 of total compensation by the carrier company. (Claim settlements may vary).

If external damage is noticed, please notate the damage on the bill of lading and refuse the delivery.

Open and inspect the entire order when delivered even if the box does not appear damaged. Check for internal damage resulting from top loading, dropping, and/or rough handling. If damage is noticed, refuse the shipment.

If the driver refuses to wait and damage is discovered, call Ashlen immediately at 205-339-1100.

Ashlen will handle all contacts with the carrier company; however it is pertinent that cases are handled quickly. Please be aware the chance for reimbursement from a common carrier company diminishes each passing day.


General Damages or Repairs

Ashlen's Windsor Chairs are handcrafted and wedged in the same manner as the 18th Century Originals. Over time, hardwoods may develop a tendency to shrink and expand due to temperature and/or humidity changes. This movement is a characteristic of quality handmade furniture and is usually accepted because of the charm and character it provides to the piece. Please be aware that this shift is not a defect and will not interfere with the function of your chair. If for any reason, extreme movement is noticed or should the chair become unusable, please feel free to contact Ashlen Windsor Chair Company.

First contact Ashlen to receive a Sales Return number to include in the shipment.

Box the damaged product including an explanation for return along with the Sales Return number issued by Ashlen. Apply shipping labels to the box or boxes addressed to 12190 Graceland Road, Northport, AL 35475.

Ashlen will schedule a pick-up by common carrier. The pick-up will be scheduled for a day agreed upon by all the parties. Ashlen will also email or fax two copies of a completed bill of lading. Please sign by the "x" and hand one copy to the driver at time of pick-up. Keep the other copy for your records.

Upon receipt of damaged goods, Ashlen will inspect each chair.

Any chair damaged as a result of Ashlen's craftsmanship will be repaired or replaced at Ashlen's expense. This includes but is not limited to any and all freight expenses.

Any chair damaged by means that are not the result of Ashlen's craftsmanship will be repaired or replaced free of charge; however all freight and packing will be at the returning store or customer's expense. Ashlen will invoice for freight accordingly.

Repaired or replaced chairs will be shipped only when the damaged chairs have been received by Ashlen and all freight expenses have been paid in full.

NOTE:

Please do not disassemble the chair for return. Any Chair received disassembled for shipping will be replaced at full cost.

When possible, repaired or replaced chairs will be shipped from Ashlen attached to a current in-house order belonging to the store initiating the return, thus cutting freight cost one-way.

Any chair purchased from Ashlen Windsor Chair Company unfinished or without the Ashlen logo will be fixed or replaced for a fee. Ashlen will not be responsible for packaging and/or freight cost on these chairs.
